Ann M. Wheeler Obituary - February 25, 2011






Ann M. Wheeler age 66 of Brushton, passed away Friday, February 25, 2011 at the Alice Hyde Medical Center in Malone.
Born May 7, 1944 in Utica, NY, she was the daughter of the late Harold and Marion Lawrence Peck.
She was a graduate of Franklin Academy in Malone.
She was first employed as a nurse’s aid at the Alice Hyde Medical Center in Malone. She also worked for Tru Stitch and then retired from Brushton-Moira Central School where she served as hall monitor and bus monitor.
She attended St. Mary’s Church in Brushton.
She enjoyed watching NASCAR, football and shopping.
On December 27, 1962 she was united in marriage to John H. Wheeler.
He predeceased her in 2008.
Survivors include five sons, Jon and Peggy Wheeler of Brushton, Christopher and Karen Wheeler of Brushton, Brett Wheeler and companion Tanya Bausch of Burke, Stacey and Jennifer Wheeler of North Bangor and Heath Wheeler and companion Pam Mallette of Brushton. She is also survived by ten grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Besides her parents she was predeceased by one sister Nancy Taurasino.
Calling hours will be held Wednesday, March 2, 2011 from 12 – 2 p.m. and 4 – 6 p.m. Funeral services will follow at 6 p.m. with the Rev. Christopher Lobby officiating.
Spring burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Dickinson, NY.
Memorial donations may be made to Moira Rescue Squad.
Arrangements are entrusted to Flint Funeral Home, Moira, NY.

So sorry to hear of Ann's passing. We went to school at BMC with Jon. I will always remember Ann for when she worked at BMC and also at Bolster'd IGA. She always smiled when she was working....a very pleasant person.

I was so sorry to hear of the loss of your Mom and my cousin, I hadn't seen her since you all were little children. I'm sure she will be missed by all, just very sorry we were so far apart in miles. Just know she will always be near you as long as you live, That's how we mothers are.

I am so very sorry to hear about your moms passing. Take comfort in knowing she is smiling down on all of you and is now your guardian angel. She was a great person and a breath of fresh air to work with. She will be greatly missed.

Gary and I are very sorry for the loss of Ann. We worked with her at school and she was one of the best. Ann and I became good friends while working together. My heart is sad and she will be missed greatly. We love you Ann..
